The Hnefatafl Travel Set just arrived today and I was very surprised by its size. I was expecting something relatively smallish (yeah I didn't read the product dimensions because who ever does that?) but no, this thing is massive and easy to see and handle for us older Vikings.
That said, the pieces are very unique and really a work of art unto themselves and the king piece has a really nice, old world aesthetic with the face carving. The black pieces have a nice rustic quality.
The bag/playing board is very high quality pebble grain leather and has a very sturdy drawstring to cinch it up.
If you are looking for a great buy to unleash your inner Viking's gamer side then this is a great buy
I am a Norse pagan / heathen and I am very happy with this! It has exactly what I want and is good price, is quality, has a nice weight, and feels very comfortable for all day wear (I even workout with it!). I have had no problems with the necklace. Would highly recommend, will be very happy to buy from this shop again!
Horn looks amazing! Feels just like it should, authentic. The leather strap has some issues staying on at the smaller end, but it's nothing that can't be fixed with some tightening. Instructions were slightly confusing, support was more than helpful and sent me a virtual replacement. 5 stars, will buy from them again
It was exactly as I was hoping it would be! Very well made.
The horns are long. And varied - they are natural, so that makes sense. See picture of them laying out with the measuring tape. They're big. They are polished. The iron stand is just that - iron. It's the real stuff. It comes in two parts, and just screws together.
So cool. Feels like a real piece of history. Got it for my brother for Christmas. Looking forward to toasting holidays and family get-togethers with the horns. Thanks Neil and the Norse Tradesman crew!
They r really beautiful and nicely made!!!!! I got them as a gift for my boyfriend and he really liked them as well and hung up the raven in his truck so they can be used to decorate anything not just the Christmas tree!!!!
