The Viking sword "Eldbroti" — "breaker of the flame" — is a hand-forged replica inspired by 11th century artifacts, with a blunt EN45 high-carbon spring-steel blade, an ornate hilt and a leather-wrapped wooden scabbard with sword belt.
Construction & materials: the blunt, double-edged EN45 spring-steel blade is heat-treated to 56–58 HRC and runs nearly the full length of the handle, transitioning into a threaded rod at the pommel for secure assembly with the cast grip and pommel nut. Built for display or light training — no toy, but not for full-contact sparring.
Crafted for balance: the center of gravity sits roughly 7" (16 cm) below the guard, and the grip is wrapped in genuine brown leather for a firm, comfortable one-handed hold.
Scabbard & belt: hand-assembled wooden scabbard wrapped in genuine brown cowhide, with an adjustable leather waist belt.

It was exactly as I was hoping it would be! Very well made.
This is my sword. There are many like it but this one is mine. It has imperfections. If it was perfect I would have written it off as another mass produced piece of junk. This is great but and yet like eating a Pringle chip I think I'm gonna need another one...just so Eldbroti doesn't get lonely.
Excellent Quality Spring Steel Viking Sword " Eldbroti " !! Great sword for realistic combat training or cosplay ... Highly Recommend !!
Great product beautiful sword would definitely recommend to others

This sword is awful. In fact I have had the skeggox, sword, and comb form Norse tradesman. The skeggox was awful. Terrible hest treat and the head fell off after a few swings. Not functional at all. I’ve had two bone combs, both were different although the “same” one, both broke after a week.
Now this sword. It’s absolutely laughable. The blade was so wonky, the filler wee curved off center, and the edges, horrifying. I have a lot of swords, AVOID THESE! The company was standard and paid for a return and gave me a refund, but that doesn’t change that they are selling absolute trash. The pommel was crooked and the peening was so off it is crazy this sword ever passed qc. I honestly won’t be shopping with Norse Tradesman as I feel they are selling cheaply made imports to unassuming customers for a fraction of what they get it for. And horsey they don’t care. Do your research and spend your money on quality. Hanwei start sound this price and actually have historical significance. Avoid and buy a real sword even at $200 there are good swords out there, just not this one!
Hi A.B., I appreciate your feedback about our sword. I can see that the fuller is definitely not straight. I apologize for this mistake! I haven't seen this issue before, to be honest. We will be sure to improve our QC to pull these swords from our inventory.
Regarding the pommel and peening being off, I will have to take a look at the sword you received to determine what the issue is, but I assure you we take your concerns very seriously. I will do my best to work with our craftsment to make sure these issues are addressed!
Again, I apologize sincerely for your negative experience and we will do our very best to improve our QC and overall product quality.
With honor,
Neil Goldsmith

Not a bad sword for the price point at entry level. Some things I noticed while looking it down were obvious flaws in the blade, fitting between the hilt and blade.
Generally looks/feels cheaper than the pictures look upon further inspection. But if this is intended to be a starter sword, or wall art, or even a costume piece. For the price, I don't think it's a bad deal.

My wife had wanted a sword for years and has recently discovered the show “Vikings” (along with her favorite character “Lagertha”) This sword with its bronzed hilt was the perfect 8th anniversary present for her! Great feel, great quality, great appearance! The only problem is now she’s wanting more Vikings themed accessories 😂
Love the sword! Love you guys
The yellow on the gaurd and pommel tarnished too fast. I just used some navy gel and now it at least doesn't look tarnished.
I received this Viking Sword from my Wife as a Gift and I must say I am not disappointed. The overall Quality is Awesome and it will go well with my Viking Costume that I plan on putting together in the near Future. Overall both my Wife and I are very satisfied with this Viking Sword and would recommend if you are looking for a good Sword that is Both Quality yet isn't overly expensive (as I have seen swords that can be a bit more for similar Qualities that are offered here).
Awesome sword, looks incredible and let’s be honest a sword nowadays is 99% for looks and not so much purpose. The blade still is high quality, but it is not quite as sharp as I had imagined. Although maybe not the perfect sword, it looks incredible and is an absolute steal for the price. The reason I rate it 5 stars still despite the sword not being perfect is the price. For 200 dollars this is absolutely incredible, honestly more worth it than a 1,000 dollar sword. Even if it would be slightly better, the quality difference is not big enough to justify paying more.
Wonderful quality and appearance! Item arrived in a reasonable amount of time.

Great sword quality made husband loved it
Well made quality sword.
My son was blown away!!! I haven’t seen a smile that big in over a year! Thank you so much!
Great sword! I was very impressed with sword. It looks and feels authentic and would fit right in storming a Saxon stronghold. I was also very impressed with the scabbard. So many offerings to day come with a sheath that looks like a Tandy Leather project with a strap and snap. The included leather wrapped scabbard and belt adds a nice authenticity. Im going to add a raven chape to the scabbard to give it a nice finishing touch. Very pleased and would definitely recommend. Odin approved!
My review is not meant to berate or belittle this company it is sincerely my honest opinion… for 227 dollars you get what you pay for in a battle ready sword. It is not up to what I would want in a battle ready sword but in order to get that I would have to spend upwards of 800 to 1000 dollars. To explain the blade is wavy all the way up to the point so yes it was hand forged but was not checked for even hammering, the blade is not straight due to this wave reducing drastically the cutting ability. Also the handle is curved to one side resembling a bending hilt and the hilt is not lined well with the blade itself. That being said it is a decent piece for the price and while not affectively a battle ready sword it is a nice wall piece resembling what these swords would have looked and felt like.
Spring Steel Viking Sword - Eldbroti
I have taken this sword through some hard work. I have chopped trees, I cut up a leather couch someone dumped out on a dirt road, and I have hit steel sheets with it to see how much it will take. NOT ANY DAMAGE OTHER THAN MINOR CHIPS ALONG THE EDGE. The weight of the sword is historically accurate and the balance is so you can swing it with a lighter grip so your guys did a great job on this one. If you research how to use a Viking style sword you will learn that this particular style should be casted as you would a fishing pole and you let the front weight do the hard work. Never white knuckle grip a Viking style sword. The pommel is made for better retraction from sticking into an object not for stability. This sword has taken a beating. I had to file and sharpen it as expected from any sword maker but it truly is holding up to my destruction tests very very well

I was kinda iffy about it being India made but it's still more than good enough for the money and whatever else I decide to do with it
Well made and looks very authentic I love it! Well done!
i love my sword. i feel like a mysterious runaway who is going to cause some mischief, save the world, and/or maybe fall in love. all in all 10/10 for beauty- it’s definitely kinda heavy and hard to handle if you have big hands. i don’t knwo swords but it doesn’t feel balanced but i’m just using it for bragging rights, attracting girls, and fun photos so it definitely suits my needs :)
So, overall was pleased, by relocating do miss th extra strap foot on the baldrics. Other then that,, afiecsword. I just get tired of having to make alterations to the scadbberd‘title.

The sword is too heavy to hold with one hand effectively. The edge is so dull I don’t even think a whetstone could fix it. If you are expecting a sword that can actually cut then I don’t recommend this sword. “Semi-sharp,” as it says in the description of this product is an over exaggeration. The scabbard Is said to be leather yet feels, smells, and looks a lot like some sort of plastic. Honestly, I want my money back.
Is it possible to have the blade sharpened if possible? And also have a hip scabbard as I feel it is not good to have it on the back.
Hello Cory, this sword does in fact come with a waist-worn sword belt. We have just updated the product description to accurately reflect this. In regards to sharpening of the blade, we can't provide them sharpened due to legal reasons. We are exploring how we might be able to do this in the future, but as of now, we cannot, unfortunately.
