Viking Raven Knife – 5.5" Carbon Steel Blade

Accessories: Knife only

This Viking raven knife pairs a hand-finished raven-head hilt with a sharpened 5.5" high-carbon steel blade — a working Norse blade inspired by historical artifacts, not a costume prop.

  • Blade: 5.5" high-carbon steel, heat-treated and sharpened for cutting, carving and everyday tasks (56–58 HRC).
  • Hilt: detailed raven's head on an aluminum handle.
  • Sheath: premium cowhide leather with a belt loop, so the blade rides on your hip.

Dimensions: Total length 10" · Blade 5.5" · Handle 4.5" · Hardness 56–58 HRC.

Care: Wash with soap and water after use, towel dry, and wipe with an oil-moistened cloth to prevent rust — especially in damp or coastal climates. Rinse and re-oil immediately after any contact with salt water. Do not store the knife inside its sheath (trapped moisture pits the blade), and do not use it as a pry bar, chisel or screwdriver.

Guaranteed by our one-year Norse Tradesman workmanship warranty. Not sold to anyone under 18; buyers are responsible for local knife laws.

The knife was absolutely gorgeous and well-balanced. I appreciated the attention to detail and sharpness. I did run into some issues with shipping, but the company was wonderful about getting it taken care of promptly.

I LOVE my knife

I was excited to get this. I wasn't at all disappointed. It's beautiful and it does have that hand forged look to it. It fits so well in my hand. I cannot believe it took me this long to find you guys. I want the boars head knife next... and possibly a hand axe. Thank you guys!!

Excellent product for the price. Not too sharp or dull. Came slightly oiled to prevent rust. I maybe getting one of your swords for Christmas. Would do business again.

I like everything I buy from you.
May I please buy some of the small burlap bags you send your products in? 10 of them?
5 that the kuksa cups come in and 5 smaller ones?
Thanks, Norm.

Thanks Norman! We appreciate your patronage. Unfortunately, we don't stock the sacks alone, as they come from overseas, so we can't offer you just the sacks, I'm sorry.

The cup is very sturdy, much thicker than I expected. The knife feels very sturdy and the raven head is nicely detailed. Decent edge out of the box.

Beyond my expectations! Both the knife and bowl are made with great craftsmanship! The knife feels natural in the hand!

Poor quality and false advertising

Not only does this knife not look anything like the picture of the website produces it is also very obviously not hand-forged. I've never been more disappointed with a product or a company. The knife is made in India which I was not expecting. It is very obviously cast and the Raven hilt doesn't really even resemble a raven or bird at all except for the shape. It is extremely juvenile and very poorly done and looks like something a child would produce. I've never been more embarrassed to give this as a gift!

Raven Hilt Knife - 5.5" Blade

Great little knife

Beautiful little knife after one minor fix. The knife is sharpened the full length of the blade. When I grip the knife my finger is pressed right against the rear blade edge and the knife can easily cut into my finger. I can fix this by grinding/filing off the rear corner and blunting the last 1/2 inch of the blade.
Also, the sheath is longer than what is pictured on the site, and this is good. The handle is about equal to the blade in size and weight so, with the shorter sheath, the knife could fall out without easily with the right bodily movement. This longer sheath holds the knife very securely now.
